Forum: This group is to discuss all things related to propagation, soil, chemicals, diseases, irrigation, soil amendments, wee control, bug control, tips and tricks to increase your daylily production.
Here we could open a 'Green Forum' to discuss growing daylilies with "green technologies and tricks". I searched the other groups and couldn't find a group about Propagation so here we go. Cary approve my group please. |

Forum: Want to know how a daylily performs for others in your area? What about how it does in Texas (when you live in Wisconsin)? This is the place to ask...
Ask about performance, rate of growth, bud counts, etc. before you buy a plant that's been on your list for awhile. Inquiring minds want to know! |

Forum: Hello gang. All edge no eyes are becoming ever more popular lately. This newer turf has an explosion of all edge no eyes going on. They are being bred for more and more lately, and are becoming stunning. Yearly many new hybridizers are starting to focus more, and more on them. This forum is open to all and is for once again all bought and bred images. As in all my forums this is for pro and amateur alike. Enjoy, and shock us.

Forum: Do dream In Green? Do you want to paint it black? Cafe Neon is all about intense rich, electric colour. Here we will discuss how to make the blackest blacks or the whitest whites. This is where that new blazing orange seedling you produced this year needs to be shown and discussed. We will have formums on all areas of colour, and how to achieve making them from scratch. Most of all we will show everyone what wonderful neon crosses we are all making. Welcome all.

Forum: Hi Folks! This is a place where hardy, cold tolerant daylilies, which thrive in the colder temperatures in Canada, and the northern U.S., can be discussed. Besides dormant diploids, I've found that certain types of semievergreens, and even a few evergreens, do well here, in Cottage Country, Ontario (USDA Zones 3-2). Cold tolerant seedling pictures and info are also welcome here. Please feel free to upload photos and post comments. Videos can also be uploaded.

Forum: This group exists to explore the sciences of the plant as a whole. Many among us value high performance bloom production. We value great scapes, rebloom, incessance, bud building, increase, fertility, pod production, and seed viability as important to the progress of the Hemerocallis plant. How can we effectively consider the whole plant in breeding and selection to increase vigor and bloom production?
Post here your findings and your questions. Teach us what you know.

Forum: There is very little doubt that yellow daylilies have some of the biggest edges of all. Yellow daylilies are also carrying the best weather and sun resistance of all other colours. They very nearly never blemish, and they hold up to sun they so resemble. The biggest leaps in solid based hybridizing towards egdes, size, substance, neon colour and sculpting are coming out of yellows. Just as all of my other open forums -- all images bred or bought may be displayed. Jump in and create new topic strings. Welcome all.

Forum: There is something so memorable about the dayliles that our grandmothers' had in their gardens. They required little care, and grew beautifully through summer days, and we knew they would always be there to enjoy!
My Great-grandparents had a large Christmas tree farm in Princeton NJ when I was small...and all around their farmhouse were the lovely orange faces of the Lemon Lily, H.fulva and kwanzo....which is probably why I still have a love of these invasive beauties. Do you have any memories of these lovelies and do you grown them now? I do

Forum: This is where you want to be if you are into reds. Reds are becoming ever more ruffly. It is about time. Why reds were put on the back burner until now remains a mystery to some of us. What is more puzzling is the craze to produce ruffles on them started up by all at the same time recently too. Show us what you have been working on in your hybridizing patch, and buying as of late gang. All images of reds may be shown. As usual all membes are welcome to join.

Forum: There is without a doubt more people entering into white collecting and hybridizing every year. Whites are all sizes and clean. White colour is a hue that can be pushed and bent to create any colour. Entire programs exist where whites are used entirely on one side of every cross and for good reason. Whites create instant leaps and magnificant fancy ruffles and form. All images bred or bought may once again be displayed. Have fun. Once again this forum is open to all.
