This is a definite breakthrough in patterns. Now that an orange patterned daylily exists...the sky is the limit with colours and hues that can be made in this fascinating area of hybridizing. Throw purples, blues, and reds at this and hot pinks and watch what happens.

Purples and blues with complex eyes bred to this, and vice versa.... will create shocking hues like hot Fuchsia...similar to orchid Catleya colours.

The reverse colour of orange is purple on the colour spectrum...so breed purples VERY HEAVILY...trust me on this one. Most of my line came out of orange hybridizing. All my best black eyes, blue eyes etc have orange behind them.

This is one of the more exciting seedling I have seen this year, for it is distinctive, the colors are great and the pattern is very pronounced! It is nice to see patterns going in several directions. This one is unique to me because of its very clear and vibrant colors. Congrats.
