I was at our local zoo, and saw this beautiful flower. Need help indentiying what it might be. I did go back this fall and collected some seeds. Starting inside this winter. First try, we'll see how it goes. Any tips for a first time idoor grower?

To me it look like a Belamcanda chinensis often called a blackberry or candy lily. It most definitely is not a daylily. Good luck with getting your seeds growing.

I agree that it's Belamcanda. These grow well in my zone 4b garden and reseed! Their habit is more like an iris than a daylily.
