Growing Daylilies Together

I'm a hybridizer of daylilies for the past 8 years. My collection of daylilies is limited to less than 500 cultivars registered, and planting more than 5,000 pending evaluations. For me that passion is a hobby, but also a disease of hemero-mania.My main work in a nursery in Trois-Rivieres, manager (Nursery Section) and service maintenance and landscaping consultancy over 30 years experience.

Just got back from our first FIELDS meeting it was nice. Really can't wait to get some seeds started now.

It is a beautiful day today and I do have some reblooming now. They are special and getting all of my attention. The hibiscus and the crepe myrtle are looking good today. It is fun to start hibiscus and crepe myrtle from seeds, but you can get overstocked. My yard is pretty full now but I enjoy walking in the yard every morning and at other times just for the exercise.

Visite chez Michel Lévesque, Hérocallia, à Carignan. La floraison était dans son apogée nous nous sommes laissé tenter par sa magnifique "Qui si frotte s'y pique" qui est une splendeur.

Many seed pods are setting. Excited about getting to use my seedling this year to hybridize. Bloom is on the down hill side of the season.

Also excited about wining Best In Show with Brookwood Black Kitten at the Greater Cincinnat Daylily and Hosta Society's daylily show this past weekend (7/9/2011).

Sunny days, daylily conferences and meeting happy growers

Have cut back my daylilies and added more mulch. The wind has a chill and the the leaves start to fall. Another season passes without much ado. I smile and need to get some firewood.
