PAPER BUTTERFLY (Morss 1983)One of the very first daylilies I bought, thrived in red clay and extremely varied weather/environmental conditions, increased profusely (even from very small single fans), has lovely "exotic " flowers and plenty of them, is easily fertile and a great parent, and still a great favorite in my garden!

(I will put up some photos as soon as I can figure out how to get the "create album" thing to work for me)

I have added a second photo to the album. In this case, it is another cross by my son Mick who took Virginia Peck's Cherry Cheeks (registered 41 years ago by her in 1968.... which is the year Mick was born as it happens) and took it to Ted Petit's 1999 intro, Forbidden Desires, to produce Beersheba, which is a planned 2010 registration to form part of Mick's important WW1 battles series. I have added a photo of Beersheba taken in our garden in August 2009. In keeping with the WW1 memorial series all of the plants are dark purples through to near blacks, and Beersheba is no exception.

Folks I have just added one photo, featuring stuff my son Mick did with Reckamp's Sombrero Way, talking it all the way to this year and a seedling he bloomed this summer. Have a peak at the photo. I will add more to the album later.
