Rachel Steidl- “I can give you the parentage of each plant. I do not have stats on these, as they are new seedlings

that have not been tested outside yet. This one is (Time in a Bottle x Ocean View) x Rings of Wonder.”

2. 2012 seed flowers on 5-12-12 087

Phillip and Carol Sims- ”This is the information: This is the information: God Save The Queen X Blue Gold Macaw

(The puppy moved the tags, but I'm 98% certain this is the cross.) We have about 6 seedlings out of this cross,

with three of them blooming for the first time this season. Scapes stood at 23 inches with a 5 inch bloom this year,

but we will have to see what happens next year. I has firm substance. Can't give you a good idea on bud count

or branching as the plant is very, very young, and it is planted in a very tough environment behind a storage

shed under some fruit trees. I said the parentage was GSTQ x Blue Gold Macaw, but it might have been Dana

Townsend x Blue Gold Macaw. As I said, the tag is missing there. Sorry - I thought I knew both parents, but

as I walked through the row today, I saw GSTQ x Beaks and Bills much further down the row in the undisturbed section.”

3. JUST FABULOUS x tetra KAL EFFECT

William Marchant- “This one is also a first year seedling and is a cross of JUST FABULOUS x

tetra KALEIDOSCOPE EFFECT. It is a 5.25" flower on a 21" scape. Also a rebloomer.”

6. 12-15 (EDGE OF MADNESS x LINDA SIERRA) x tetra OUT OF THE BLUE

William Marchant-“First year seedling so no information other than scape height, size,

and parentage. This one is a cross of (EDGE OF MADNESS x LINDA SIERRA) x tetra OUT OF THE BLUE.

Has been double 100% so far. 5" flower on a 28" scape. A rebloomer."

7. 2012-seedling-2f

Joe Zhang-”It's the first year this one bloomed on a single fan (later split by the scape and

became two by the end of the bloom season). The cross is Red Friday X Horns. The size of the

bloom is about 5" to 5.5". Scape height - 23". I'd expect its stats to improve as it matures into

a clump since both parents are bigger and taller.”

8. 12-11 (YELLOW MONKEY x ROSE F KENNEDY) x KALEIDOSCOPIC INTRIGUEa

William Marchant- “12-11 (YELLOW MONKEY x ROSE F KENNEDY) x KALEIDOSCOPIC INTRIGUE."

1. Lyle Dye: “The seedling is from a cross of FORTUNE'S DEAREST X BLISSFUL BLACKBERRY PIE 36" scape, 7"bloom and 18

bud count. I will decide which form I will register this one at the end of this season.”

3. Robert Rioux (Second month in a row in the Top Ten Snapshot): About this seedling, I must say that it's a mid-late bloomer with

over six inch flower on a 20 - 24 inch scape. All my hybridizations for over twenty years were on my external hard disk that is out of use

since this spring, so I lost all my parentages for my seedlings. This one has Petit's FEATURING THE GOLD and PRICELESS in it's

pod parents. For the pollen, I don't remember.”

4. Di Decaire: "5.5" flower, 32" height, tetraploid, dormant, 4 way branching with 22 buds, EM, lemon yellow self with plum and

cream pattern, some metallic glints".

5. John Dorminy (No data submitted)

Hope to register with the name of my little redhead granddaughter, Reese Renee. This one is out of Fantastic Fringe and Forrest Lake Ragamuffin.

6. Dale and Darlene Dionne (This is the second time this seedling has been in the Top Ten Snapshot (April): “Out of Fantastic Fringe

and Forestlake Ragamuffin. Scapes are 26 inches with very nice Bud Count and Branching. Set pods very easily. Bloom is 6 inches

and displays teeth and fringe.”

7. Clyde Grammon: "This is a Spacecoast Sea Shells X Catcher In The Eye seedling--(CIE is the pod parent of Sea Shells). 32", 5 1/2",

22 buds, 4-way branching, rebloomer. Lavender base, with deep purple eye, intense applique throat on petals and sepals. Plant habit is

very handsome with considerable rust resistance. This is its third season, slow increaser. But, otherwise SUPERB!) The other two

seedlings that were in the top ten previously, are BOTH its offspring--with even better branching--from the ground up."

JUST FABULOUS x tetra KAL EFFECT

8. William Marchant: “This one is also a first year seedling and is a cross of JUST FABULOUS x tetra KALEIDOSCOPE EFFECT.

It is a 5.25" flower on a 21" scape. Also a rebloomer.”

Excalibur

9. Robert Rioux: The parents are (CAMEROON'S TWISTER X NO BOYS ALLOWED)  XX  ( Nid De Roses - unregistered

seedling of mine but on MyDaylilies -X LABYRINTH OF SOLITUDE ). Dormant, mid-season bloomer, over 30 inch scapes,

having about 20 buds. The flowers are lightly cascading and have lightly pinched petals. The texture is heavy and the color

doesn't fade in hot noon sun. The color is a unique blend of pink-fuchsia, paler to whitish water mark and a deep green throat.

I used it both as a pod and pollen parent and I had many seedlings ( over 80% of the seeds germinated ) but the first kids to

bloom out of this one will bloom only this summer. I named it EXCALIBUR, waiting the acceptation of this name by the

AHS."

CB12-008 <br /><br />Cosmic Odyssey X But now I see<br />after seeing this flower bloom this year i think we can say there reallly is blue in daylilies

10. Chris Rea: “The few stats that I do have on this seedling will not mean very much. The poor plant had been pushed out of the

water pattern and was not doing very good when it bloomed. But we will see what the future brings for this little beauty. The stats

that I have are 5" bloom 24" scape and about 20 buds.”

2012 seedling: (2010 'butterfly' SC SS X CIE) seedling X H.'Applique'<br />8" wingspan

1. Clyde Grammon (Everyday Acres): The #1 and #7 photos in this month's Top Ten Snapshot are both seedlings hybridized by Clyde that had this to say about them:“Believe it or not, Becki, as genetics often will reveal, as different as they appear to be, they are both from the same breeding--two sides of a coin. The pod parent is H.'Applique' and the pollen donor is my "butterfly" seedling of two years ago: (H. 'Spacecoast Sea Shells' X H. 'Catcher in the Eye'. This is a 8" UF seedling with a dramatic green-white applique throat extending out to a black-red eyezone. The base color is a velvety maroon to deep maroon.”

Hammerhead Shark-( Area 51 x Bass Gibson sib 1 ) - 6 inches

3. Jennifer Patterson: “Hammerhead Shark, 5.75 inch bloom with 4 way branching and 16 to 20 buds.  Blooms midseason.  Described for registration purposes as a rusty electric orange with a large toothy edge of white teeth that blend into a magenta edge, that is also replicated in the eye, with a green over yellow throat.  It is a tetraploid, dormant, and its parentage is Area Fifty-One, which is one of Mick's registrations and parent of very many of our registrations since, X Bass Gibson.

First seedling to bloom in 2012. APACHE BEACON x ALDERSGATE

4. Judy Duthu: This seedling is APACHE BEACON x ALDERSGATE. It's a 10 month old plant and unfortunately the scape was broken off at the base by some severe straight-line winds the day of the second bloom. I didn't get its stats...I think it will be a keeper, though, and am hoping for rebloom, although I doubt that it will.”

This is my son's seedling he is going to name : "Ann Marie Ittner " It is cream yellow unusual form and is a Tet and has a wing span of about 14 inches. Its parents were ( Lime Peel x Let Loose) seedling x ( Lime Peel x dancing Lions) seedling.

5. Ann Marie Illner:    My son is 53 years old and has been working on his spider hybridizing program for 12 years now. No he isn't a member of MyDaylilies.com or any other group on the internet. He is going to register at least 5 and maybe as many as 10 of his top seedlings this season. The three that are at the top of his list are "Alicia Ann Kendrick", "Callands Flip Dizzy" and "Ann Marie Ittner".

7. Clyde Grammon (Everyday Acres): “ This is a 7" UF with the dramatic "butterfly" eye of my 2010 seedling. The base color is a light lavender. “

This Desire of Nations closeup is my number one plant of the year in our garden, bar none. This was hybridized by Karol Emmerich, came to us in Spring 2010 as two fans, and increased to 4 this year. Three scapes bloomed profusely with two scapes with 5 way branching and one with 7 way branching. Here is a later flower at Avalonia Daylilies in zone 4b Canada on 18 August 2011.

8. Photo by Lanny Morry: In 2011 I chose Desire of Nations as my favourite bloom of the plants we have imported in the garden.  Here is what I w rote at the end of summer about it:

DESIRE OF NATIONS, Karol Emmerich 2008. Be still my heart! This is a

plant that produces outstanding perfectly formed, always perfectly opening,

huge (6 to 7 inch flower) purple, heavily ruffled, eyed blooms of frank

magnificence. Tall, stately, pod and pollen fertile, I can say honestly that

I was simply not prepared when I purchased this in early 2010 for what it

would look like in real life. This plant takes first place over the plant I

chose as number two based on its incredible branching to top off everything

else that is perfect about it. In one year this grew and prospered and sent

up three scapes, each of which has 5 to 7 way branching and a gob of buds.

Simply magnificent and the closest thing to perfect by a small margin when

compared to plant two coming up next, in our garden this year."

'Louder Than Boom'<br />(Clark-C., 2012)<br />Tetraploid<br />20" Scape<br />6" Bloom

9. Chris Clark (Showtime Daylilies): "This magnificent daylily came from Princess Diane X God Save The Queen. With a 20" scape which compliments the fans. It has 3 branches and 22 buds with a 6" bloom. It has smooth lavender petals with royal purple edge, canary yellow ruffles and knobs on the edges and a thin gold ornamental edge outside that, sepals are a smooth lavender with slight thin yellow edge with rich purple band above a bright yellow throat."
