About me: Most people here are crazy about daylilies. I, a chemist, am no exception. After we moved to our first house, I started collecting named cultivars for a future daylily garden. In 20 years when I retire, it will be in a good shape. Time is still on my side.

I came from a culture with a rich and long history of daylily cultivation. In China, daylily is the counterpart of carnation in the west. It is called the mother flower, also by the name Forget-All-Sadness. In the ancient times, when a young son travels afar to pursue knowledge or career, he'd plant a daylily for his mom to help her overcome the void, loneliness and anxiety. There were so many beautiful poems about daylilies and moms in the old literature. But the tradition has largely been forgotten by the younger generations. I believe it's time to revive the tradition and reintroduce modern daylilies back to China.

When I'm selling, reputation is my No. 1 priority, because I'm here to make friends, not money. I don't spray to curb rust. However, spring shipping from me will be rust-free since the zone 6a winter always helps me clean everything up. All the $$ gained from selling lilies and seeds will be donated or used to improve human rights in China, to stop the persecution of Falun Gong, a spiritual cultivation rooted in the Chinese civilization. I grew up in China, but can no longer go back to visit because of the persecution.

I have a luxury dream, in my life time, I hope to see a China with more freedom, more truthfulness, more compassion and more tolerance. People in Sudan, Myanmar, Cambodia and North Korea will feel the change when my dream comes true.
