How do I Add or Change My Profile Picture/Avatar?

Members may choose either a picture or avatar to be posted on their Profile, which will also be visible on other areas of the site such as on their photo albums section, messages in the Forums, in your Friends Lists and forum member rosters. Many members post a picture of their favorite daylily or seedling, while others post pictures of themselves or their pets. For security reasons, please do not post pictures of your children.

Steps to add or change your Profile Picture/Avatar.  Be sure you are logged on to the site.

1. From the “Home”page, move your cursor to “Profile”and a drop down menu will appear. Click on “Change profile picture”.

2. Change Profile Picture screen will open .

3. Click on the “Browse”button and a new window will open showing your computer file directory. You need to locate the image you wish to upload from your computer. You can upload a JPG, GIF or PNG file. Once you select the image, click on the “open”button.

4. The computer window will close and you will see the file location of the image you selected appear in the “Upload Picture”box.

5. Click on the box where it says “I certify that I have the right to distribute the picture and that it does not violate the Terms of Use”.You must check this box otherwise the image will not upload.

6.  Click on the “Upload Picture”button.  It may take a few seconds for the image to upload. Once the image has uploaded, you will get the following message : “Your picture has been uploaded successfully”. The image will automatically be converted to the proper size and will show in the Current Picture box.

If you want to change your current photo, follow the above steps and the new image you upload will replace the Current Picture.

If you wish to switch back to a previous profile image you uploaded, follow these steps:

1. From the Home page, move your cursor to Applications. A drop down menu will appear. Click on Photos.

2. A new window will open that will show your albums.

3. Click on the Profile Pictures album and all the images you uploaded for your Profile Picture/Avatar will appear.

4. Click on the image you wish to make your Profile Picture/Avatar. The image will open. At the bottom, right hand corner of the page you will see 4 options. Click on “Make Profile Picture”.

A confirmation screen will pop up. Click OK.
