PRIVACY is all about choices.  Some members like immediate and multiple site notifications or alerts and some members do not. The latter prefers to browse our website and find changes at their own pace and speed.

Warning-The basic Default setting for Mydaylilies.com will deliver more notices than you may  care to receive. In this setting, every time someone submits a comment on a forum that you are a member of, you will get an email notice of that new comment.  This may not be such a good if you are a member of multiple forums where active participants are frequently adding new information and posts. This could be dozens of notifications a day during our most active season.

To designate your personal privacy settings, click on PRIVACY. A screen will pop up that says:   "Privacy: Edit your privacy settings".

The first option gives you the opportunity to decide WHO should be able to view your Profile and the comments you make on the site: the GENERAL PUBLIC (anyone who visits the site including non-members), REGISTERED MEMBERS, your FRIENDS on the website (only those people who have asked you, or who you have agreed to be Friends with),  or only ME.
Click on the choice that best suits you. (It is Mydaylilies.com's default policy that your profile can only be viewed by registered members until you designate otherwise.)

The second option deals with Emails and Notification.  Pay particular attention to this one. If you leave the default settings as they are, you will receive each and every message in every forum that is posted that day sent to your email account separately. Nonetheless, click on the boxes that best represent your needs and then click SAVE.

PRIVACY settings can easily be changed whenever or as often as you like. Feel free to change these often to see what is going to work best for you.
